Our Goals
On a daily and individualised basis, Learning Matters pledges
to provide diagnostic services and treatment for children who
struggle with learning. We will:
- Employ state-of-the-art neurodevelopmental assessments.
- Create individualised learning plans based on information gleaned from the assessments.
- Provide skillful and timely remediation for students based on assessment results.
On a broader and larger scale, Learning Matters also seeks to
transform education in India for students with learning
difficulties. Thus, we will:
- Raise public awareness in India about learning differences; one size does not fit all when it
comes to education.
- Increase the level of skill and knowledge among mainstream school teachers so that the majority of
students’ needs can be met within the classroom;
educators will become versed in the science of
learning as well as the art of teaching.

Our Vision
Our vision is to build a kindergarten through twelfth grade laboratory school that will be an exemplar of progressive education. This school will implement effective teaching techniques in serving children with differences in learning by nurturing each student’s potential through investigation, enquiry and exploration. At this school, a child’s journey into great ideas will not be deterred due to his/her deficiencies in basic reading, writing, or mathematical skills.
There is a growing body of research that shows that teacher quality has an enormous impact on student learning. Hence, alongside, a unique teacher-training program will be established to enhance the caliber of teaching with practices based on scientific studies. Our school will work as their laboratory for best practices.
